WHOA! You are totally getting into this genre. CREEPY. Oh what run it ISN'T to ride! Great job with this and I think you have found an area of expertise. I know I will not be going on any sleigh rides any time in the near future! :)

Diane, I felt within every word the mounting fear and the tension. The whole story brought me along with you on this frightening experience and what was most impressive, because by nature I was a bit of thrill-seeker in my youth I shudder when the sleigh crashed. BRAVO!

    Awe! Thank you sincerely! I never thought I?d be a story teller as I?d only written poetry over my life! This site has encouraged me to go beyond my comfort zone and I am so grateful for writers like you who can appreciate my effort! xoxo

This is a great story for the horror writing contest. I also loved the revelation at the end that she was a ghost recounting her story. The descriptions were vivid. I liked the way you made the beginning romantic and calming. It helped to make the conclusion more horrific. Good luck in the contest.

Ah!!!!!!!!! This scared me so bad, I'm had to skip to the end. It is well-written and very realistic, dear Diana. (Too much so for me.) You know I love you though, right? I'm sure this will win the Horror Writing Contest.
Sending you my non-scary best as always,
Sally xoxo

Oh my gosh, Diana, you do have a bloodthirsty bent mind - slay ride indeed! I love the muscular look of draft horses - I am more familiar with Clydesdales but the Percherons are beauties.
Your story veered from high romance to dark horror and took me along with it. It made me wonder how I would react in that situation myself. I would definitely have a laundry problem, but I guess that is inconsequential if I was to freeze to death anyway.

It was approximately 7:00 p.m. when my love arrive(d) with a beautiful black Percheron

I had no experienced (delete the d) with driving a sleigh;
