Oh dear, Cathy is depressed and hospitalized. I know what that is like as I have struggle with depression most of my life. I'm having a bit of it right now. I was never hospitalized for it, my mom was and it was so hard. This is well done as always and am looking forward to see what happens. Rox

Not only is this so realistic that I am convinced that it actually took place. The letter between the two lovers remind me, almost painfully of my various courtships during that time. It reminds me of why I avoided relationships while I was in the Air Force for four years. It is tough. However, during my last year I did get involved with a young lady who lived in a nearby city that I could visit on my three day pass twice a month. She wanted to get married, but she was sixteen and I was twenty one, with no job and no job prospects. It was not gonna happen. Again this was one heck of a write and I thoroughly enjoyed the read.

Always an excellent write, colorful and full of love and sweet devotion, Cathy and Bill. I love the concept of joined-at-the-hip. I am joined with my husband just like that.
'Fur piece' down the road. A small suggestion, if I may. I would somehow reword this or make it more understandable. I am from the south and this is normal for me so it's not a problem. But for others, it may prove to be. Thanks for the Louie Armstrong song, too. Love him.

Hello Tootie. One of the techniques you use is the font change when the character source changes. That makes the narrative easier to follow. There is a sentence in the last paragraph that reminded me of when I was deployed: "I love you more today, than I did yesterday, and I'll love you more tomorrow." The song was "More Today Than Yesterday." It came along in '68 and the band was Spiral Staircase. Every time I hear that song I go back to those days. Robert

Poor Cathy, I feel for her, I know what that feels like, but mine never did come home. He went to Heaven over 33 years ago. I feel so sorry for Bill, he'll be devastated to know that Cathy is ill and he can't be there for her. The miles apart are painful, but there is nothing those who are doing their duty can do about it. This was such a sad chapter, I read Bill's letter thinking, he doesn't know yet. So sad. Well done, this was a heart breaking chapter. xx :) Sandra xx
