How often we ( I ) wish I hadn't said that - or perhaps we speak and do not mean anything bad, but it's misconstrued. Words do matter. In the Bible it talks about the tongue and the havoc it can cause.

God gave us two ears and one mouth for a reason.

If it has happened to you only twice, you're wise than I. My mouth tends to get me in trouble, even when I type.
Best of luck with the voters.
Peace, Lee

Comment from Alex Rosel
This is a fun read, and I think many writers will be able to relate to the sentiment expressed. While it leaves a lot to the imagination of the reader -- for example, who is this person, and what has induced their loss of ability to express themselves? Panic? Embarrassment? Advancing years? -- that's not necessarily a bad thing.
Good luck with the competition {smiles}.

Very well done with the use of so few words, those moments when our mouths take charge and amazingly beat our minds, I like the chosen artwork, best wishes for your contest****kahpot

Well done for 29 words, everything is concise and well preserved "twice It has happened! The words were right there at the very tip of my tongue. Intuitively I knew, I should stop, swallow every word. Think about it twice." Good luck with the contest

A classic case of biting ones tongue. And a not so common case of successfully NOT blurting out the comment in question. Nowm how can I learn that? Better stufy the story again.
