I like this senryu because the word "gracious" seems to have two meanings in the way it sort of bridges the first two lines with the last line. I get quite a bit of consonance with a "s" sound with "goodness," "nice," and "gracious." Not sure what to improve on. Thanks for sharing!

Yep. The 'goodness gracious' idea is the surprise aspect, then the narrator is being gracious about the good deeds that are happening.
