I love the colors you chose in both the words and image, the image really helps us to see things from your perspective.

How could I know that the

fire you ignited

within my soul

would one day send

a breath of cold ice

into my heart.

You created a sad ending for such a romantic-type poem. Do like your accompanying illustration and color choices. The yin-yang of love-hate is exemplified by your word-restricted contest entry. Interesting that the opposites: love and hate have four letters and frown and smile have the same number of letters.

My guess is that your entry will earn favorable reviews and votes.

Good luck (-:

Thank you for your awesome comment! I never related the number of letters in those opposite words before! As they say, love is the opposite emotion of hate and you cannot fully experience joy if you have never experienced sorrow! Maybe one day the cycle will end in love and joy! xoxo

Overall your use of color works.
I find that your allusion a bit difficult to understand
... your soul is ignited by a fire and then your soul (or is it the fire) breathes or sends you a "breath of cold ice" into your heart. ... all of this describes how "love" transforms into "hate". The conclusion, as I see it, is that love resides in the soul and hate comes from the heart....OR perhaps, the soul and heart are one...
Help! Get me out'a here!

Haha! I think you have it right with the last statement! Love penetrates the soul and hate comes back out through the heart! Thank you for stopping in leaving such an awesome comment. I greatly appreciate!

Yes, there is a fine line between love and hate. It can ignite with one harsh word, a regrettable offensive deed and or an action. You have crafted a clever poem here. Lots of images come to mind. Well done and best wishes!

This entry is very alluring and well-written, wise and spot-on! The words alone are electric, but then you ramped it up with the variety of colors you used for the fonts and, of course, that way-steamy artwork. This definitely stands out from the crowd. I wish you good luck in the contest! xo

Wow! I love it.
The words are powerful yet focused and perfectly complemented by the image.

This is great. I don't even attempt to write anything for contests of this nature. I'm not talented enough. This is excellent. It's a great entry in the contest and should do very well in the voting booth.
