What a descriptive poem! My son-in-law told me (horror) stories of tournament fishing in all kinds of weather so it was really neat reading your poem! You did a great job; love the picture you picked as well.

I don't think I could ever make it as a fisherman. I get sick on the ferry on a calm day. As for the teeth, who knows? I understand some strange things have been found in the bellies of sharks. Perhaps they even got stuck on his gums. That would make a great fish story. Good luck in the contest.

OMG!! This is HYSTERICAL (and I can't believe you found THE perfect picture to go with it!!!!) I loved this phrase: "The rolling sea tosses them about like cork in a beaker." That's vivid!!

There's a little typo (I bet it was an Autocorrect 'help'). You want dry "retching" not "reaching."

Oh boy - not a pretty picture - losing your teeth to the deep. It happened once to a water skiier at a lake where we were - interesting thing was someone went diving (closer to shore) and found them. Beat the "toothless" gummy fish to them.
