Hi Tootie, This is just the loveliest thing... letters between two people in love. I think we have some of these put away in our family somewhere. I just love, love letters... don't you? The ones we have, talk mostly of family and friends and news from home... things you would say to keep a man's mind off the things around him. A very sweet write. :)

My dad joined the Army before his draft number came up. He'd heard it was easier than if you were drafted. Not sure there's any truth to it, but who knows. I enjoyed reading. This is a good story.

Being a stickler for accuracy when a novel uses a real-life setting or circumstance, I checked the songs The Beatles played on their Ed Sullivan appearance. You're correct. A BIG THUMB UP for that!
