John and Mary Smith sounds normal. Nothing wrong with a standard life like The Beavers. So, not having a simple name ensured the child was ridiculed. That is a weird name, Amberger. There has to be some reasoning for the nickname. My edit note would be to add some story to the nickname. Or finish the story with "Amber". Good luck in the contest.
