So well done!-you have easily mastered the loop genre here (something that I have so far failed at) and you have woven a lovely story within-the picture is so perfectly matched and brought a tear to my eye as I have two great friends in Georgia who still work their farm-they are both in their mid eighties and have been married 59 years-Thank you for this great entry
All the Best!

Hi Mrs.,
This is such a bittersweet poem, my friend. It has a heavy feel to it. Yet it is a very well written.piece and a great contest entry. Thanks for sharing and best of luck. Jan

Hello Jan!
So pleased you enjoyed. So much of my parents and grandparents - and their love of their lands - are woven into this piece... Yes...bittersweet, indeed!

This is a lovely loop poem that captures the emotional turmoil of letting go - our homes, our past - but never our sweetest memories. Those we must treasure. Thank you for sharing.

Ten minutes of true satisfaction are a good total for a life? I think I had more than that, but Wolfy Boy is dern close...I think it worked better for you than the farmer in the song Café Down On The Corner...excellent post.

I've heard a lot about the small farmers who cant survive nowadays and that's what this poem made me think of. Selling the animals, selling the farm, trying to move on and give someone else a chance at it. You did great with this

What a lovely loop poem about two elderly people who must adopt a different lifestyle. Their memories will always be with them as they go on together in the next phase of their lives. Well done.

I liked this poem. I guess we all have to move on. Memories are wonderful things when filled with Love. To cherish and work on the land is a blessing from God. I was going to say you should write a poem of your notes until I got to the end.

This is a lovely loop poem, very worthy of winning the contest...I wish you luck. It's always hard letting go of things, especially when they are a big part of your life. You have illustrated this feeling well in this poem. Thanks for sharing.

I can see this coming true for me and mine...this place has memories
But we've moved more than they have ...this is a tender poem speaking of love work and a life well lived but nearing its end...two people entwined
God bless

What a lovely story! It is sad but beautiful. I feel sad because it seems all their wonderful memories are going to be obliterated by the new owners...
Thanks for sharing.
