I thought I recognized a Soviet era cosmonaut in the picture and then was surprised to read about a trapeze artist. Fun limerick and what a word, perchist - wouldn't have guessed the meaning.
BTW: "Vostok" means East. Don't know the significance. She was a skydiver before and a textile worker. Hooray for the proletariat. Lol.
