Oh My Goodness.... FANTASTIC!!! I laughed! I love the picture too! I used my last 6 a little while ago. This was definitely worth a 6 though you should know that.

Interesting statement with a great setup able to wrap its reader into its web. Suggestion based on thought without picture: finger up sign.
Just a suggestion given in my opinion of this write.

Probably every man who has ever been married will appreciate this and most of the women too I should think. Of course it doesn't work without the picture but what the hell, it works too damne well with it to be ignored. And a lot of people seemed to agree on that - enough to have you run out the winner anyway. Congratulations!

Thanks, Jim. I appreciate your excellent review.
Yes, I agree, it seems many of the voters could relate to both the picture and words.
Hey, you never know what goes on behind closed doors. Have a nice weekend my friend...Bill

LOL. LOL This is funny, author. Especially the text. It is sort of hard to avoid seeing the Italian hand signal for One nation under Mussolini etc, but the poem is perfect with this. Bob

With the help of the picture I can see the humour. Talking is not necessary if one can get across the point.
It is sad that sometimes we have to sacrifice grammar for the sake of syllable count.
Poetic licence is welcome.

LOL!! That's so funny! I loved it. I can see why it was the winner, it's brilliant. The picture is perfect, I wonder which came first, that, or the hysterically funny words? Well done, and congratulations on winning! :) Sandra xx

I understand your wife's dilemma. It sure takes a lot time, housework. Even getting those damn curlers to stay in is a trial. It's hard keeping up sometimes.
Try forgive her, you'll drive her crazy. You could take her out to dinner sometime?

Haha this is so simple yet so funny. Made me laugh out loud. I am a woman so I too speak sign language when I really need to get something off of my chest haha!! So I'm sure this is a poem men and women all across the globe will relate to. Great image chosen to accompany it as well, a very well deserved win for bringing some humour to the table. X

Thank you Hayley for your fantastic review, I really appreciate your kind words.
Yes, I agree. This type of sign language is very popular all around the world. It really does save a lot of time and energy not having to shout at one another (ha).
I would like to wish you a belated welcome to Fanstory. I don't believe we have ever spoken to one another. I hope you have a long enjoyable stay...Bill

No I don?t think we have so thanks a lot. It?s a pleasure to meet you and to read some of your writing. Please have a look at mine too and see what you think. Always a pleasure to meet a fellow writer x

Hello Hayley. I went to your portfolio and read several of your poems. I really like the Quatrain style of poetry that you use with basically 4 line stanzas. That's my favorite style.
I joined Fanstory 10 years ago only for the contest competition, so in order to do that you have to be able to write many different styles of poetry.
If you would like to experiment with a few different styles, click on "Home" in the upper left of your screen, then click on "Poetry Dances." That will bring up a long listing of all the styles and an explanation of each style.
I really like your work and evidently everyone that reads your work does also because nearly everything in your portfolio has an "Exceptional" rating. Good luck to you...Bill

Thank you Bill for checking it out. Yes when I write free style I tend to just naturally write in quatrains but I have a few other styles and I am trying to experiment with new ones because I agree, it is great to learn about new forms of poetry. I tried a Pantoum a few weeks ago and have a few sonnets and an abecedarian too. But I didn?t know that you could find all the various styles on this site so thanks for the tip, I will check them out! Xx

Well, Hello Dolly. Thank you, my friend, for your wonderful review, I truly appreciate it. I'm so glad it made you laugh. The experts say that laughter prolongs our lives.
Yes, Dolly, she read it early this morning. I think the only thing that saved me was that we just celebrated our 51st anniversary on Nov the 1st.
Have a great weekend my friend...Bill

Hello Gloria. Thank you for your great review, I really appreciate it.
You know Gloria when you've been together as long as we have, 51 years last Monday, we save a lot of energy by using sign language instead of yelling at one another (ha).
Thanks again and have a nice weekend...Bill
