I counted the syllables in your poem and the number was thirty. There have been several contests where I did not make sure I had the right syllable or word count and was disqualified. Moving along, your words flow smoothly and rhyme well. Good luck in the contest.

Word or syllable count is a pain because you're never sure what the committee reading it will count. You are most welcome.

This is a good entry for the contest. I love the smell that the earth gives during and after the first rain. Does it lessen the longer it rains? Or do we get used to it so it seems less strong. Good luck in the contest. Thank you for shsring

What a lovely, peaceful image you have created. That photo sets the scene, opening up to the spring rains and clean air. You use such soft words throughout--gently, wafting, sweet. Excellent job.
