Food for the soul at a time when the body needs to take a break and think about Him. I love the color scheme -- purple for royal robe and white for purity. How I long to hear a Whippoorwill's call again. I listened to them in the West Tennessee hills where I grew up, but we do not seem to have them down here in the marshlands of Louisiana.

I didn't know they wouldn't have whippoorwills there. What a shame. We used to have one that every night, he would get a little closer to the house. I expected to find him perched on my bedpost any time.

Personally, I like Fat Tuesday a lot more than Lent. We need to observe both, but why not one day of Lent and forty days of Fat Tuesday? I promise I won't over-indulge.
