Ha, love the powers that be who are watching Veronica. This is the first I've stopped in on your story, so I can't add much for continuity. This part is very well written with excellent, lifelike descriptions of setting and interaction among characters.
Very nice.

Thank you, Gloria, it was really nice of you to drop by. It's a complicated story so I expect it was a bit strange to read. Veronica's time travelling is really fun to write about, though. I'm glad you enjoyed this. Big hugs. Sandra xx

Hi, Sandra
= Another excellent chapter, my friend.
= Boy, back in the day, servants did, indeed, hear, and I'm sure, witnessed far too much information many times.
= I'm sure it was much like, and probably was worse as in 'Downton Abbey'. I love, loved that show.
Cheers, J
Have a good day/evening!

I can quite understand you would love Downton Abbey, lol! Thank you, Jackie, for your lovely review.
I'm way behind in my reviewing, I've really felt so rough and it's been difficult to keep my concentration.
Thank you, my friend. Big hugs, Sandra xx

So Lady Gwendolyne was married for her money by an uncaring and unloving Randolph. I'm at it again imagining about relationships and how opinions and actions would change if they knew the future. Which in this case is in our past. My brain hurts. smile
You continue to weave the story line in a clever and convincing way. There are no mistakes that I could see.
I wish you a speedy recovery my friend.

Aw, thank you so much for the lovely 6 stars, Mel, that is so nice of you. If you think your brain hurts, mine thinks it's in a war zone! lol. Thanks for the recovery wishes, it's hanging around longer than I thought it would. That doesn't help the brain either! :(
I'm so pleased you are still enjoying it. Thanks again, my friend. :) Sandra xx

I struggled through this but needed to go on since it is YOU who wrote it. I'm not a critic of this genre (but I can tell a pretty good story). I will not critique this since I'm sure the others will come in droves with opinions and don't ever let them get you down. Anyone that could write "Hedgerow Capers" is always at the top of my list.

Aww, bless your heart, Diane. My 'Hedgerow Capers' is still selling, not much but it's nice to know there are children I don't know around the world who are reading my stories. I can quite understand you 'struggling' with this being a time-travel book, its the second in a series of three. So, I doubt much made sense to you, but I really appreciate your trying.
I think about you a lot, my friend, hoping you are coping. Big hugs always. Sandra xxxx

Hi Sandra, this is an intriguing chapter. How different it was back then, and how I would've hate to be a woman in those days. Just any man's chattel. So she meets her son's father? But what happened then? Oh, I love this story, and I'm looking forward to see what Sir John did about it all. It doesn't bode well at all.
How are you feeling now? I hope you're much better. A big hug. Ulla xxxx

Aww, Ulla, thank you. I wasn't expecting a review from you this time, how are you coping? PM me.
Thank you, I really appreciate your reviews, and you always say the nicest things. And a big thank you for the six star, my friend!!
I'm missing Sally! I'm up and down at the moment, I seem to be getting better, and then as soon as I move, I start to wheeze. My inhaler hasn't used this much since coming back from Spain. I'll get there, we all have our crosses in life. Thanks again, my dear friends and a big hug back. :) Sandra xx

I'm always so sorry when I reach the end of one of your chapters. I want them to go on and on. Your writing puts me into the story as if I'm actually witnessing the action and that doesn't happen to me very often.

Thank you so very much for this lovely review, and all those stars, my friend. I always worry that mine are too long, but sometimes you just have to keep going to get to the right place. You saying what you did about coming to the end, is very appreciated, thank you! :) Sandra xxx
I have some serious catching up to do, and I'll definitely be catching up on book, I just love how you give the animals another chance at life and being loved. Don't think I've stopped. I've just been quite poorly and still struggling a bit, but I'm getting there. Big hugs, my friend. And thank you again. :) Sandraxxx

Well, this was very compelling reading and held the reader's interest throughout. You brought out the sadness of these arranged marriages. It's hard to believe they still go on in some cultures.

It does, doesn't it. I would hate to think I was being married off for money or a name, it so yuk! Thank you so much, JoAnn, for your lovely review. I'm really pleased you found it 'compelling' reading, that is so encouraging. Big hugs, my friend. :) Sandra xxx

You have a wonderful way of presenting the scene with vivid emotions.
The idea of a time-travelling heroine is unique and allows the reader to go back in time and imagine how the modern world would accept it.
Terrific writing.
I know I'm behind, but hope that my schedule has finally freed up to allow me to continue reading and writing on fanstory.
Looking forward to more.

Gwendolyn future appeared to look bright at the dance after being pursued by Randolph. It turned out that, in this totally dominating world of men, he was the reason for her unhappiness.

That's right, Phillip, I don't think I would have enjoyed living in that world. Women had no choice but to comply with what the male member of the family decided for them. Thank you so much for another lovely review, my friend. :) Sandra xxx

Hi, Sandra;
Wow - so, Francis is actually a bastard? No wonder he has been ostracized - not only for his unique coloring but for the stigma. Or has no one else realized?
You are doing a great job with this, and I can't wait to read more,
