Dear Mystery Writer,

Fabulous piece of poetry. I really enjoyed this and found it to be superbly creative and unique.

Favorite lines:

It's in the air now chilly, raw,
the clinging fog that's your bad breath.

***

You're shrouded in your hooded cloak
outside my window this gray day,
a silent shadow in the fog.
I dread your coming, fear you'll stay.

***

Thanks for sharing and good luck in the contest!

I enjoyed your personification of winter poem, I find it kind of creepy but I can definitely imagine the scene with death sweeping in over autumn trees and fields. Thanks for sharing and have yourself a really great day

Nicely done piece on the the dark side of winter! The rhyme and rhythm are well done and makes the story flow easily. Very haunting vision presented with the words you've chosen. Brrrr.... Great job!

Hi there,

The leaves bleed out, then flutter down - I love these line, following on from the autumnal changing colour to the final plunge to the ground... very nice.

I really liked this piece. the last line is chilling.

I'm glad I had one six left to award this masterfully written piece on the personification of Winter.
And while I do not detest Winter in the least (I adore and welcome Winter in fact), I can appreciate the fact that everyone is entitled to his or her opinions.
Well done.
You'll have my vote!
