Hi there Dean...lovely poem! Your satori is perfect. I can only dream of writing haiku like this! :) Star shine ... moon glow. NO noise above, lol! Takes us right into the scene. You rule!
Best wishes...s

Comment from Ric Myworld
I always enjoy these beautiful, descriptive, Haiku poems coupled with wonderful pictures. The best views from the two main means of presentation. Great job. :-)

Beautiful presentation, that picture could have been taken right here from the beach on lake Taupo for we are surrounded by mountains. Very nice haiku mate!!

It's free to join and open to everyone, Jill. If selected you'll also have your haiku published in our second anthology at no cost to you.
We'd all love to have you there.
We published the Haiku Anthology: Book One at the beginning of this summer. It looks fantastic!

Cheers, Dean;
-this haiku reads like a lullaby with the soft and sensuous "S" sounding alliteration slowly rocks the reader into a blissful peacefulness.
-Demonstratively descriptive imagery and format of the connected first two lines create an imagery of the stars shining on a shimmering sea and most likely, and probably at moonlight.
-The satori "warm reflection" which I would've put an "s" at the end of the "warm reflection(s)" but it works both ways. I like how you used the soft sounding "W" and "R" sounding words are and alliteration in themselves.
-. You definitely recognized and used the kigo as either "sandy shores" or "stars shine". That's a tough one for me as I would toss it up even with "shimmering seas". I have to look it up, to be sure.
-Love the presentation and the picture is it also gives a calming effect.
-Thanks for sharing and take care and have a good one, Dean.

Why did this make me want to say "warm reception" as I finished it? Something about cliches being bust open I suppose. The more one considers this statement the deeper the seas get. i imagin the kigo here is the summer warmth of the sea.

Nice use of alliteration and the ah-ha is wonderful. All those suns reflected in the ocean and the warm memories of a starlit night wrapped up in one little phrase. Well done Dean. - Wendy

A very well-written haiku about the soft sands on the beaches at night when the moon and stars light reflects shimmering on the dark water of the ocean. A romantic scene for lovers.
