Thanks for sharing another of your fine poems. I'm probably going to have to break down and take a shot at writing a Haiku sometime in the near future when I get the cast and splint off my hands. Who knows, I might even take a class. But it will be a while yet. Great job. :-)

It's a funny time, I didn't know these dates were vital, but whatever Gypsy, you've produced an excellent haiku, there's a tradition of praying for the dead, according to scripture it's too late. Well dine, blessings, Roy

Hello Gypsy, Is this a Haiku because it is under the 17 syllable count? The mention of "Day of the Dead", does that create the nature segment instead of human nature? Loved the sentiment, however still a lil bit confused on the difference of Senyr human relations as opposed to the nature aspect of the Haiku. xoxo Kiwi

We recall our deceased loved ones, and pray for the repose of their souls. It is a good deed, and even though we never feel we honored their memory like we should, we perform this act of love.

Gypsy your [day of the dead's] is so poetic in a haiku.
I believe it's a special day to pray, celebrate and remember the one or ones that have passed away, in Mexico.
Question
what syllable count is required for the prayer

Hello, :)
Awesome haiku, Gypsy, :) 'In the name of love', is a perfect five syllables.
I don't see any errors or room for improvement (of course, I would feel uncomfortable giving creative criticism to a teacher of haikus :P

Please don't feel uncomfortable giving me your honest creative criticism, as long as it is kind, I really don't mind. I am not perfect and I make mistakes like everyone else.
Thank you very much.

TY, Gypsy, and TY, for your support with 'Flower Power'. Just don't think it's ever going to get published. It's probably too silly an idea :P

This haiku, Day of the Dead, uses its sixteen syllables to create a place where those who have passed can be hurried on their immortal way. Nice poem.
