And we are so glad to see them then suddenly there are too many of the damn things. They are beautiful really but doomed to destruction by being so prolific.

Dear Mystery Writer,
Do dandelions bloom in winter where you live? They don't here and we're in a really nice zone. I also don't get the time of year you're referring to since you have winter AND spring mentioned. I think you need to revise. Thanks and good luck!

A very well-written 5-7-5 poem. The yellow color of the dandelion is attracting many people's attention that seems to bring sunshine to a winter scene.

I'm really starting to get into haikus, you can convey so much in a few words, the picture helps. I love the fact that Spring is sprinting around painting bright scenes over winter's drabness, good personification. Enjoyed. MaggieF

I generally associate dandelions with summer but I guess that you are right, they begin to get a hold in spring. Lovely to look at, a deep-rooted bane if one is a gardener, but the wherewithal for making a most intoxicating homebrew! All in all, one of nature's more interesting plants. You either love them or hate them! Yellow blobs sums them up rather nicely!

Well, I must say Spring has painted my yard all over with yellow blobs. I enjoyed your poem. The picture/art is perfect. I like the personification of Spring.
Suggestion:
dandelion paints 5 syls.
yellow blobs on winter scene 7 syls.
Spring's arty stroke 4 syls--needs to be 5
[Spring's artsy brush strokes]
Best wishes in the contest. Jan
