A very well-written Dixon poem. We just need to look around us to find the beauty in the world. There are many things that are not beautiful in the world, but we can choose what we want to see.

Thank you for sharing one of favorite places to walk and framing it among the oaks. I appreciated your introducing me to a Dixon Poem and enjoyed its rhymes and your "window" metaphor. Here's to "un-stressing" and dreaming! Hugs- Joan

We're glad to see the six-year drought might be ending--now we are concerned about mudslides, but so far we're in good shape. Thanks for thinking about me and try to stay warm- Joan

This poem has good advice. To find respite from stress and anxiety find a quiet place in nature to escape to and let the beauty of nature sooth and comfort. Distance from a problem can help with the solution and the message I get from this poem is to find the natural world to be a natural haven.
