I believe in prayer. It's funny how so called non believers always call on God when they are in trouble, dying, and in pain. It's automatic, they have no one else to call on. God becomes The One. My spiritual director told me yesterday that before the Berlin wall came down, 5 or 6 gathered every monday night to pray for peace. It grew and grew. More than once, the guards were told to shoot this people as they walked with lit candles and prayed. Not one shot was ever fired and soon the wall was torn down. God works in mysterious and amazing ways. Thank you Roy for your supportive review and blessings.

Clearly, this is filled with passion and conviction. And historically, this kind of rallying to prayers and faith in God's guidance has good company :-)

I particularly liked
Just like a smile or laughter can be infectious, a domino effect of peace can be infectious too. as a final image of the effect this call to prayer can result in. :-)

A few spots you might look at -

God, through His reign in the heavens and (over) all of earth

also has given us His kingdom (I think us can us emphasis)

possibly make the final line its own paragraph.

All just little tweaks to consider :-)

thank for the great review and helping with the errors (I made all the changes). The techinal errors - spacing between paragraphs - fanstory frustrates me because I have spaced correctly in Microsoft Word, then I paste into FS and it messes it up.

This is a heartfelt prayer and I agree that our county is facing hard times. We do need to pray and seek God's will for our nation. There is too much going on and too many voices speaking too loudly. Amos 513 says that the prudent will be silent in that time for it is an evil time. May you be blessed.

I think this is a well-organized essay, teresa. Each of us must stand firm in our beliefs of what is good and right, and you have done well in presenting your faith.

Just one point in the opening sentence you need an object;

Terrorism, hate crimes, cop shooting, gay bashing, bullying...the list (of what?Man's Inhumanity to Man or human cruelty or something like that) goes on
and on and on.
