This is a very nice tribute to grandchildren, written with obvious feeling. Nice choice of words as well. I re-read the posting twice and enjoyed the way it sounded aloud.
Very well done piece.
Thank you.

Yes, I know the feeling. This is a lovely poem. I think that Nature put something in us that just responds positively to babies and their little everything. Well done.

What a sweet idea for a love poem. What a great picture, and you must be proud of them. I love the details you bring in of how you watched your children grow, and now they've made you a grandmother. History does repeat, and in this case in a delightful way. Great memories in this poem. Ending is great. Best of luck in the contest. judi

What lovely sentiment expressed in this time-capsule free verse rendition of motherhood turned to grandma-hood. Beautifully expressed. Those twins are delightful. Well said!

Tab: time unfolds and repeats. I hope you kept some books for them to read. We kept the Dr. Seuss books. Treasure these little toes and all the memories. Keep photos and make scrap books with your poems. Yeh!!! I love massaging those tiny feet that grow up. Family times are fun times! Thanks for sharing your family with us! God bless! flylikeaneagle

I can't imagine any mother (that, of course, includes grandmothers) not relating to your charming poem.
Good luck in the contest. (I can't sincerely wish you a first-place finish, because I'm entered, too.)

This should certainly be the winner in this contest! I've never read such a SWEET love poem, and the way it repeats at the end, as life itself repeats....wonderful! Blessings....

Hello Teresa,
The use of the same lines in the first and final stanzas is effective in reinforcing the concept of the circle of life.
changes came
new babies
made their way
and history repeats ... love these lines. So precious.
Enjoy the little ones. As we know they grow far too fast!
