Anthony is truly a gentleman where his friend's wife is concerned. You've given the reader two things to worry about: how Mike will fare at the mysterious game and will he remember to lock up. The story is holding my interest.

Strange place, strangers' game, even when the game is tempting, true players never travel alone. That is unless they have a couple partners hidden in the crowd and everyone is packing, what better places or people to rob. They can't even call the police. Thanks for another fine chapter. :-)

It's not a subject I know a lot about, but a friend of mine, who DID have a yacht and play poker all over the world, has told me quite a few stories about the good times when he was on a winning streak. I get the feeling you always have to have your wits about you! Alexis xxx

He finds that he is attracted to Alisha and indications are that she likes him. Bad situation since she's married to his friend.
How can he trust Michael to lock the yacht? Michael might not even come home until morning if the game goes well. And WHO are the men Michael is gambling with tonight?
Good intrigue going on.

That's one of the reasons (apart from working flat out on the film script!) that I'm holding back with the next chapter. So many possibilities! Alexis xxx

Excellent chapter. I did have a little problem injecting Michael in the scene at first. Alisha and Anthony were speaking back and forth during the first 4 paragraphs. Then she references Michael to Anthony. That was what led me to believe Michael wasn't even around.
After topping up his glass, [In America it would be "topping OFF his glass. Is this just a regional difference?]
Alisha looked impressed. 'I wish Michael had done something like that. [I'm surprised Michael didn't react in some way to what Alisha said. You had just had Michael ask about Anthony's portfolio. Now he's strangely silent.
After Alisha stood up, she thanked Anthony for a wonderful evening before making her way towards the steps that led to the cabins below. [Just something to look at: Beginning with "After" and "before" in the same sentence kind of gave me pause. It might just be the way I was reading it.]
Betcha Michael doesn't lock up.

Yes it must be an 'across the pond' thing because we do say 'topping up' someone's glass. Apologies for the length of time it's taken to get back to you, but I've been working flat out since I got back on Sunday evening. No rest for the wicked! Alexis xxx

I can see this is going to be very interesting. Michael and Anthony being good friends is also going to complicated. To be honest, I haven't a clue where I'm going to take it, except Anthony is going to be at sea when he wakes up! Any ideas would be appreciated! Sorry I missed you this afternoon. I had a snotty couple come to see the house which has made me more determined to keep it - I think! Lol, if it wasn't for the lousy internet and being carless, it's heaven! Alexis xxx
