I am glad to hear you are driving again, but I'm sorry your getting back in the saddle was more of a challenge than it should have been. Some times newer cars have too many gadgets and adjustments to make! Happy trails- Joan

LOL - nothing worse than a back seat driver, and there are no worse back seat drivers (IMO) than the 'other half' - LOL. Poor you - I can well imagine you were ready to clout him one by the time you got where you were going. I don't blame you for refusing to drive back! HAHAHAHAHA.

Hi Ine,

Your poem made laugh, you live in Europe
and drive an American car, I live in the US
and drive a European car.
Driving is not fun for me anymore and much
less at night. I would let Robert drive while
you relax.

Lakeport;
I enjoyed reading this in a way it made me laugh and I felt it was kind of humorous but I have been in position just like this. Your poem is a great adaptation of a reference to a situation about driving your new car and how, in a way, It was difficult for you to drive because of this steering wheel position. Thanks for sharing and posting and may the good Lord be with you always Lakeport.

Guys are never satisfied with our driving, are they? We started to Indianapolis, about 60 miles, and were going to take the Lincoln which I usually drive. When my husband tried to start it, nothing happened. The battery had run down. Fortunately we have a battery charger. Sounds like you have a lovely car. I always have to make adjustments after my husband's been driving. He's so much taller. Great detail in this. Don't blame you for refusing to drive back. judi

Guess, we all make mistakes in the car and men have no patience with women anyway! Driving experiences can be tiresome. Well chosen words-nice car. I spotted two wee errors-verse 1, Robert and I. Verse 2, the seat had been...... Enjoyable read. faye

Hmmm. Sounds like an interesting outing, Ine. LOL..These things happen all the time at my house. I simply adjust everything to my specs before I start driving. Especially the seat and mirror. Good Luck with that. Bob

Hi Ine,

This is a very nice poem and I enjoyed reading it. I'm sorry that the steering wheel was put too high for you to drive properly. I can understand why you'd want to go on your next trip by yourself. He should have put it back down before you started to drive.

I love the picture. I love the poem. Men love their new cars. It seems they can love them better than their wives. That is until he puts the first dent in the car. Great work.
