This is a wonderful ending to this novel. I hate to see it go but all good things must come to an end. I will pray you find a publisher who will do this novel justice.

Thank you so very much, Barbara. That's really most kind of you to keep me in your prayers. I'm sure it will help! And thank you, most of all, for all your encouragement and support. It's been absolutely invaluable, my friend.

Glad that I'm privileged to read this last post; although I read just a few of your posts, but I think I enjoyed this one really with its finesse and details.

Hi. Well, quite the round up. It would appear all is good in the spirit world...it is always nice when a story has a good twist:-)
the notes at the end helped with it all, I admit I have not read all the chapters...so the roundup at the end...is super.

As I have told you before whenever I've dropped in to catch a chapter here and there, I sure wish I have been with your story from the beginning. You are an outstanding writer and I hope to tune in to your next offering from the start. Great job. :-)

What a satisfying ending, Bev. Now to find a publisher! It would make a great movie. Wouldn't that be great?
Just curious... what's the final word count?
Congrats again for staying the course on a wonderful novel, my friend.
I hope you get book of the month. I just voted. :) e

Hi Ellen! Hey great to see you back on the site. I'm so glad you found the ending satisfying. I didn't want to cheat all the people who had followed for so long.

The word count is too high and I'm going to need to trim like crazy. I'll be doing editing for some time to come LoL. But I'm not sending out queries on anything that I don't think is as perfect as I can come to it.

I've stayed the course because of folks like you, Ellen. Your kind words of encouragement and gentle suggestions of how to make things better spurred me on. I'm amazed at how far I've come and humbled by how far I have yet to go.

And thank you so much for your vote. I'm excited with the 'field' of writers offered this month. Some of my favorites in there!

Hope to see something from you very soon!!

    Hugs, Bev

Ah, editing. I found that by the time I had reached the end of the novel that the beginning was structurally weaker. I'd grown. As you have. I'm not done yet. I keep going back with a fresh mind and find more to do.
Patience is the word. Nothing really worthwhile can be hurried. Your novel is really worthwhile.
    Hugs. :)e

Ellen, thank you so much for this! I'm feeling a bit of pressure on my part to keep working hard on the novel, but what I really need is a little space and lots of time. It's been an intense project. So glad to have the benefit of your perspective and own experience. As you mention, I am quite surprised as both how bad, and how good the earlier chapters are, if that makes sense.
Rama doesn't mince words, but she's not a nasty person either. So, I'm being guided in the right direction, I think.

    Thanks so much, my friend.

When will we be seeing the fruits of your recent labors?

    Hugs, Bev

Hi sweet one. I'm glad that you have someone that you feel comfortable with as an editor. That's so important in such a close working relationship. Best of luck. It all takes time.

There is nothing new here as far as writing goes. I'm busy still trying to adapt to Taylor, my son's girlfriend, who's living here. I'm so stuck in my ways. It's difficult to change, but I'm trying.

Are you going to be posting again? Or is this it for you for a while, as you concentrate on editing?
reply by the author on 02-Sep-2014
I would have a really hard time adapting as I like my space. Good on you that you're open to this Ellen. At my age, it's getting a bit harder to change on the bottom-line things.

I'm putting back out an edited version of an old novel I did a while back but never finished. Paranormal Adventures - now there's a change of pace LOL.

    Hugs, Bev

I haven't read every chapter, but I know this is a good one! Had I the time, I'd def. add it to my reading list. Anyway, this a fine chapter, as you wrap up things very neatly. Every reader of the book should be more'n satisfied!

Keep writing!

Mike

Hi, Jonathon. I know you've been in this position a couple of times yourself. It's a bit of an odd feeling for me. Knowing I have the editing job ahead is offsetting a bit of the sadness. In the end, I want to have the best product I can possibly put out 'there'.

Thank you for staying the course with me, Jonathon. I've always enjoyed your unique insights and have benefitted from your sharp eye for spaggies. Please know that you are appreciated.

    Thanks Bev.

And you are definitely right about the sadness when a book come to an end. It's hard to tell your characters/your friends good-bye.

Perhaps that's why I started a third book in the The Question/Plutonium Revenge series. I missed my old friends. :-) JW

I will do a sequel for my novel. At least one, for sure. But, I'm not posting it on the site until I find if I can get a mainstream publisher. That's something they like to hold first rights to. Say, I can dream can't I? Have a good one... :) Bev
reply by JW on 30-Aug-2014
Good luck in finding a mainstream publisher - and yes, you are allowed to dream. :-)

I personally gave up on the idea. It seems like unless you were rich and/or famous - someone they were sure they could make a profit from - they weren't interest.

On the bright side - even though the money I make from my books only earns enough to let me enjoy McDonalds dollar menu now and then - I do get some enjoyment in the fact that during the past year, something over a 1000 copies of my novels have been downloaded - and my books have been downloaded in over 10 countries.

Please have a great Labor Day, Bev! JW

You should be very proud of that, Jonathon. I'd be happy with anything at this point.

Sorry, I am out of sixes, Bev. What a great wrap up. It not only answers any lingering questions in the readers mind, but, at least for me, produces a sigh of satisfaction. Everything resolved. No loose strings. Enjoyed following this well written novel. Good luck in getting it out there for others to enjoy.

Thanks so much for the good wishes and generous wish for a six. Your words are worth more than any star possibly could.

    Warmest regards, Bev

Hello my sweet friend! Can you believe I finally finished? It's a bit bittersweet, but I have much editing ahead of me and will have the story in my life for some time to come.

Up next, probably a paranormal adventure I started some time back but never finished.

Thanks so much for always having my best interests in mind when you did your reviews. You've kept me on track with your support and encouragement, not to mention generosity, Sonali.

Look forward to hearing more about the 'plans'.

    Big Hug,
