back in the day of magic it was said if one went against God that they would loose the will to live and soon would die of the infliction brought upon by the wrong doing. The saying also goes what goes around comes back around two fold.

Thanks for reading - there is good and bad in all cultures. Black Australians have their own way of dealing with those who break sacred law (see my notes.) Of course, through white eyes - whatever you do comes back to you threefold. Cheers, Kay.

Yes, he deserved exactly what he got an more. There is a Heaven and Hell and his heart was full of sin so I'm sure him and satan have gotten acquainted by now. This is very interesting. I'm of the opinion we need to leave each culture as God created them to be. God loves you and so do we.

This story reads like a movie. You bring the history of Australia to life. Native people everywhere work with the environment,not against it like the white man. The rape incident is horrible and I feel for Maraboo.

stole the aboriginal's wife - add the apostrophe for possessive
clothing, which soon chafed - add comma
took everything. Pretending - everything, pretending
and made attend school - made to
Picking up his rifle, he made - add comma
You explain the customs and beliefs and laws of the Aborigines well and contrast them effectively with the ways the white men tried to force on them
This is a tragic tale of how arrogant some cultures can be in forcing themselves upon others but also an inspiring tale of how indigenous people will fight to retain their culture, laws and beliefs even when being bullied with people who have more powerful weapons like guns. Brooke

Brooke, Thanks so much for reading and editing; will make your suggested changes. It is a tragic tale - they are treated as second-class citizens, even today. What makes me so mad - they are the original land owners and the whites have gotten rich on their beautiful paintings e.g. white sellers of their work charge tourists up to $6,000 for a painting and the artist gets $1,000 if they are lucky! Bless you girl, have a good day. :-) One day I will learn how to put my commas in the right places, you have taught me much and given me the courage to attempt a novel!
