I find I'm weeping on consecrated ground
With dark wet stones all around.
As the angry cloud bursts wildly weep with me,
You're off to eternity.
Wonderful Tom and the only thing I see wrong is the envoi should only be two line. Great subject you chose to highlight too.

Thank you Gungalo. I know about the Envoi, I felt I needed that extra line.

Excellent job with this poem about the grief and sadness one feels when losing a loved one. The rhyme scheme and flow of the poem is fantastic. So much feeling of emotion here I felt it through and through. Sararb :)

What a poignantly penned poem. The sadness and melancholy mood is conveyed perfectly here, as the subject stands within the confines of the cemetery stones and mourns his lost beloved. Soaked to the bone by sheeting rain, it does not matter. He wants to be near to her, and refuses to leave, despite the deluge. That's love there, love than many believe can transcend the dank, cold confines of the grave. Poe did, and I felt this type of Poe-like quality evident in this.
Nicely done, Mr. 'T'...Bravo!

This stormy sky, suddenly as black as coal,
Reflects pain gripping my soul.
As raging sky rains wrath upon Mother Earth,
This vision contests my worth.
Such a beautiful yet deeply sad poem. Very well written. Nothing to correct.

It is sad that death separates us from loved ones. There is an eternity beyond and that is what we must be ready for to see loved ones again. Great job!
