The devotion to religion in this poem just poured out of every syllable. I can see the author who has given up their life to follow the lord and the love for him in this poem is remarkable

Oh, God bless you! Your review has truly touched my heart. I hope someday I can live up to your kind words. I love the Lord much more than I could ever express in writing so I am thrilled that sensed that love in my poem. Thank you so much for this sweet review!

This is a lovely heartfelt prayer Suzie. I like the rhyme and flow and the heart's desire is expressed with humility.
"With humble heart, I give You praise
No tears or trials can erase
My love for You will fill my days
Till I see You face to face"
It's so great to have the love of God in our hearts.
A wonderful prayer.
Thanks for sharing :)
God bless you,
Christine

STAND BY HER IN HER TIME OF NEED
SHE COMES TO YOU ON BENDED KNEE
I TOO COME TO YOU ON HER BEHALF
HOLD HER HAND AND SHOW HER THE WAY
TELL HER YOURS HOUSE IS HERS SO SHE CAN STAY
TO LEARN TO FIND HER WAY BACK INTO THE WORLD
TO LIVE TO FIGHT ANOTHER DAY TO SLAY THE DRAGON

Oh, God bless you. Thank you so much! I agree, I couldn't make it one day without Him. I sure hope I made Him smile. You certainly made Me smile!

Neither could I. I'm 86 years old and spent the last 6 years fighting to live. I'm better now than I have been in a long time. God have given me another chance to get my book, Behind Closed Doors" out to those that need it. I pray that those reading it will learn what to watch for in selecting a mate and avoid the 32 years of abuse I suffered. I couldn't leave he would have killed me and the three children. Three years into our marriage his father blew his mothers head off and got away with it. The same demon that ruled him ruled my husband. he's dead and I'm free. You might want to read Held Hostage in my Home. God loves you and I do too.

This poem is lovely. I think that it could be put to music as a hymn and also could be a prayer. The rhymes flow easily too.
