Such a sad write girl and the answer is right there. To turn around and see it is the goal. Please be right there for her.

Hello Jaq! A truly dark poem. I'm sure she was, or will be, SO relieved to know you are there for her. Even with less serious problems, we should always have somebody we can talk to when we need help. You express your concerns and love for her very well, and also her feeling fractured.

Cheers Shenel, yeah it's a hard time. I'm actually caught between breaking my daughter's confidence, whom she told, or just sitting down with her and asking her to talk. Jaq xx

Hi Jaq, This type of self-harming seems to be on the rise, or I am hearing of it more often. This is well penned on a topic rarely addressed. Thank you for sharing and I hope your niece finds her solution with self love.

This is so traumatic to the family that watches the torment and devastation of someone they love hurting themselves. I will pray for this young lady and her family. God loves you and I do too.

It's a tragic truth that many of our young resort to this behaviour. Is it a cry for help or desire to defile and hurt themselves because of some self-loathing? Certainly it needs gentle and consistent assistance to rebuild the self-esteem and love that is so apparently missing. Your poem expresses beautifully the pain these actions bring to others who love them and my hope is she will hear your offer of love and support Jaq. I feel your pain!! They are desperately needing someone to show sincere, non-judgemental love and concern. The hardest part I think is picking the right moment, in the right arena, with the right ambient atmosphere. Your heart will lead mate, you'll find it! Love and best wishes always, and good luck!! Garth

I would never judge her Garth, there is only one being that can do that. She has told my daughter, so I'm a bit worried about breaking her confidence, but I will when necessary. This is too important not to address properly. Peace n Love Jaq x

It's painful to write about things that aren't pretty. It's also really hard to write a review after reading such a poem. In my opinion, it flew well and the words were well chosen and had that feeling of help and hope for the best. This was a really deep poem, Jaq!
