Exceptional
This work has reached the exceptional level

Well I read the opening paragraph with attention and can only recall Schiller's words that we must think by feeling and feel by thinking. As a plunge into the labyrinth of human psychology I begin to wonder who our writer really is; an empirical psychologist or a metaphysical philosopher with a touch of mysticism. I guess he would go for the first label. Anyway he wades into the murky of human creativity and narcissism aside, he fails to define it. I mean even Freud was flummoxed by the creative spirit claiming that he was only influenced by three creative artists; Shakespeare, Sophocles and Dostoevsky. It took Freud ten years to confront the Moses of Michael Angelo.
No doubt our erudite author is thinking, "Fools step in where angels fear to tread." Well I am glad I am a simple, naïve poet but I would to remark on the final sentence.
Jung spoke of Idleness as being our greatest passion and Bernard Shaw wrote; " the difference between genius and mediocrity is a matter of laziness. I must sign off confused. -Ekim777

Language is the problem in defining our views. We are all born with the truth of what we are. Most people are unable or unwilling to express it. Thank you for your review... John

I liked your post very much for I too am guilty of thinking too much. You have very analytically brought your main point that if we WANT, We can reach our own individual level of epiphany and reach to the realisation that we can have equitable sharing of space. It is also true that human ego stands in the way of any enlightenment and creative mental development .I have a point to make the magnet, instead of being a round one ,isnt it more like a diameter of a circle? So when we go from the positive end to the negative end or vice versa your consciousness swing for one one attitude to the other .of course you dont go back to the starting point in the real sense because your journey changes you, but the swing still can exist between positive and negative.Being Saturday ,i have run out of my sixes.******

If you picture the earth's annual orbit around the sun as representing a complete thought, it may help visualize our own way of thinking. Thanks for the review... John

A positive and balanced mental attitude, I never thought about the balanced part. But then again if you are mentally unbalanced you would be like a box of chocolates... You don't know what your gonna get. Don and Vicki

Excellent material, Cogitator! It goes without saying that you put a lot of time and gray matter into this essay. It isn't an easy read. I would mention, in the density of the material I didn't see where faith fits in, though you did mention the CMA of Jesus of Nazarath. And right next to him was Mary Baker Eddy.

A very engaging read!

This is well written, though not seems to textbook to me to be consumed all at once. There are many valid points throughout, like the positive mental attitude equaling the negative mental attitude.

Overall, well thought out and well presented. John

Cogitator, this is quite a read. I am not sure I understand it all, but enough to make an experiment for myself. I will see how it turns out. I knew the right and left brain were different, I just didn't know how. Thanks for sharing. Miss Sally

I truly enjoyed this work of yours. Your points and ideas were articulated well and presented in a way that got the point across without the sense of it being shoved down the readers throat. I plan on printing out this work of yours and reading it some more since it is full of wise interpretations of those things often unconsidered or ignored by many of us. Thanks for sharing this work with us.

Well Cogitator...you've gotten my attention. I greatly enjoyed reading this because I love stimulated knowledge. I am a thinker as well, but not to this degree. I believe I do have ADD, but because I THINK TO MUCH and have to force my mind to focus on one thought area at a time to accomplish something fully and in its capacity.

There are some notes I loved about this writing:

Some of us simply make judgments before we grasp the total meaning of what we behold. --Very true

Languages are not very effective in communicating truth, but very effective in creating lies. --Couldn't agree with you more

we meet new information, we can ask ourselves what its purpose might be. Everything has a Reason for Being. - Agree

Leonardo da Vinci "Learn to see; everything is connected." --Never knew he said that and I thank you for sharing. Excellent quote.

Martin Luther King said "Nothing pains some people more than having to think." -->Ah....the lazy mind for lazy people still sleeping on life

Some of us may have trouble focusing on a regular basis--yup that is me...you know as I read this I just realized my focus is imbalanced. Like I can focus on FS because its something I LOVE to do. Write, Inspire, Aspire, make new friendships, learn, and love but how does one focus on what doesn't interest them?

If we want peace, let's imagine and focus on peace. If we want eternal life, we will find it at the center of our being. No one will ever know what death is. (what do you mean by this?)

How ludicrous to think we have consciousness for the purpose of losing it! -->I like this thought, but what I interpert is the consciousness to be the spirit.

What then would be the purpose of consciousness? The purpose of a healthy consciouness is to live eternally.

The difference between Ignorance and Apathy is "Don't know, don't care." If we focus on caring about what we know, we can break the habit of not caring about what we don't know. A FREAKIN awesome quote. Is it yours? I want to be sure to pay credit where its due.

Great write and keep on writing. Your thoughts are beautiful and stimulating!

Thanks for the review. I am glad you enjoyed reading the piece.

When I say we will never know death, it's because "death" is a misnomer. We lose our current bodies to be reconstituted, but the consciousness we use to fashion our universe with that body cannot be apart from the universal consciousness. Only ego "dies," and we all should kill it as soon as possible.

As far as the quote on Ignorance and Apathy is concerned, I originated it and it is contained in my book, "The Mind - User Manual" at Author House, published in 2007.

    Looking forward to more communication...John

Yes, I guess so, you think too much, but what you have shared is really the answer to the varied problems, we, the modern men confront today. Finding the our center and the right focus and believing too, that we can, will define our capacity to respond. This is really thought provoking and I thank you for sharing this with us.

As shown in the symbol of zen, each of use has a male and female part. both being equal. This is very well written with a smooth flow of words, making for a good read.
