This is a terrible story, though well written. Because it happens, often. You have certainly put all your cards on the table, and didn't hold back on what happened to this poor child. Why? Why would a human being with an ounce of heart hurt someone forever as this will live in her memory her whole life long. You took a terrible situation and brought it to the attention of all who read this. Lord, watch out for small children in their innocence because they can't fight back. Awful story, well written.

Very well written although very sad subject. I think you capture the horror of abuse in a very potent way in this short poem. I continue to hope that awareness will make a change for these little ones. Great job tackling a tough subjet.

Yes, this poem goes straight to the heart, and we can never have enough poems and prose that brings enough light to this horrible injustice to our children. I loved the straightforward approach that you took with this, as well as the minimal use of words. Very effective.

This is very well done. I have not seen many poems on this subject. LOTS of books but not poems. This would be a good advert for a childrens charity.

Your message is excellent and was delivered with passion. Your last two verses has a proper meter and rhythm to appreciate your rhyme scheme. Your 2nd, 3rd, & 4th verses are not well organized for rhyme or rhythm but they contribute in a significant way to your theme and message.

Oh, how unbelievably gut-wrenching. I feel the young child's pain and despair, angry that this happens to steal innocence and ruin life forever. A well-written piece, which brought out many emotions. Not only because of the devastating subject, but by the excellent way the words were put together. Well done!
