I now create words that are fun,
no more darkness only the sun.
As I bloom, catharsis complete,
I've learned so much my minds replete.
Writing is god for the soul and your soul must be totally free by now girl. Write on a don't let anything or anyone get in your way.

One day my mind is full of rhyme,
the next it seems just to mark time.
No flow or rhythm does appear,
cerebral mush, nothing is clear.
This poetry's rhythm flows nicely. I holds the reader's
attention from start to finish. Thank You for your

This is a very well-expressed poem, leaving the reader with no doubts as to the reasons for your writing. It was a pleasure to read, with good rhyming, but I noticed a couple of places where the meter needs a tweak.
V.1.l.2. '...to vent (to) have my say.'Extra word balances meter.
V.2.l.2. '...it seems (to just)mark time. Changing words round adjusts beat, balances meter.
I love the phrase 'cerebral mush'. We've all tasted THAT dish at some time or other!

This is lovely, Jac Cee, with excellent ryhming and flow and I can really identify with the thoughts your poem conveys. I, too, at times find myself having to get up in the middle of the night to write down a poem that has pushed itself through to my subconsciousness. If I didn't I would not remember it the next day. All the best in the contest!

wonderful poem that describes all of us. some people have wild imaginations and thats why they write. others do it to feel better. I need to get the words out, theres too many in my head otherwise

I never wrote a thing till about 5 years ago when I joined FS, and I've had bundles of fun and relief in doing so.

You have summed up a poet's mind perfectly here. I think and write the same way. Sometimes mush and other times words flow through my sleep. Well written and the rhyme scheme is smooth. Good job!
