Hi TREISCHEL,
I love the tree, it really does look like a model posing and I love that it has a belly button too.
This is so cool. I like some of the vegetables you can find that have funny shapes as well.
A nice poem.
Brenda

I loved your first two lines they almost sang to me. I was hoping to read a rhythm in among your rhymes but found your meter count was staggered. This would probably work in free verse. Example of meter: 6-8-7: 8-8-8: 6-9-7: 7-8-8: 8-7-6
I think this would have been a great poem for a 6-8-8 beat. I liked your picture and each line describes the scene. Good job.

I absolutely loved it. Definitely not what I was expecting but what I truly enjoyed. Your notation that followed was very educational, not only about the picture which was wonderful (you have camera talent as well) but about the poem format. Really enjoyable, thank you.

I like your nonsense, see nothing that would make it better. O look at that, she is even reclining on her bed, seducing you! Your Animated Stills book idea has a definite appeal.

First, I loved the picture AND the poem. I've always found a fascination in the Willow Tree. And "Animated Stills"...I love the concept. Great work, great job. Made me smile :) Smiles are always welcome...especially on Monday!

"Animated stills"--I like the concept--you could create a book from your collection. I enjoyed your lighthearted, three-line, rhymed stanzas and use of the first person. The play on "Wicked" rather than "Weeping" in the title is clever too. Cheers- Joan

Thank you Joan. Not many noticed that one. Did you notice tree tease vs treatise.

Nope--I missed that one, but I got the "Hey baby" and the "lay"! Thanks for helping to mine all the layers!! Cheers- Joan

NIce personification of a willow tree in this set of rhyming tercets. I like her shaggy top and threat to call a cop.

I'm in woody bliss!

Cheers,
DW

I loved this poem about the wicked willow, and I am amused at the title. Willow trees have always fascinated me so much that I write about them, too. Great job! florrie

I love the picture you took and your author's notes :-)
What fun use of personification - you really give this tree quite a personality from your very first line on
Good use of mono-rhyming in each tercet
love the image of the green pom pom
What a fun closing - this poem has a quirky sense of humor that really appeals t o the silly in me :-) Brooke

I really like your rhyming triplets, for lack
of the proper form description. You have given
this tree a personality completely surprising
to me. She is spectacular in her 'lay in wait'
pose and holding her pom poms out so's to
catch her a male Willow. Nicely penned.
