Ah, Jealousy, that green giant - I think we all harbor envious feelings towards something, you rarely come across someone that doesn't desire anything at all, but when you allow yourself to begin to nurture such desires, allow yourself to sink into a darker place, where those feelings fester in your mind and grow a home - that's where the trouble begins.
I've met people like you've described, who go through life as if their sole mission is to stomp the happiness out of everyone around them, because they themselves feel empty. I can't help but pity them.

Your concise poem vividly conveys the emotions of one whose mindset is one of overwhelming jealousy, which is like a cancer that eats up all that's good. Very good
