Oh even better than the first. Nice work Lee. I'll never forget this oldie but goodie. They just don't make movies like they used to. :) Susan

Hey, you're up?? Wow. I can't find this contest...I was going to try this one. I'll go back to your poem and see. I'm thinking Rooster Cogburn... is that spelled wrong? :) S.

Oh well, missed out again! I'll remember to vote this time. The right way. x too. S.

Sorry, I think the contest closed at midnight. But why not write one or two anyway. Nancy might use some of these for the new Crumbs page at P & S.
Rooster Cogburn is right. The same character from True Grit.

llsa? I'm not sure about that first word. The "play it again, Sam," quote is perfect. Great pic for illustration, too. Surely a contender. I wish you the best of luck in this contest.

Ilsa comes to Rick's
some stories never get old
play it again, Sam

The last line is a perfect ending...LOL! Very good entry!

Actually, as yu probably know, that line is not in the movie. The line is really, "Play it, Sam. YOu know the one."

Thank you, Phyllis. You're right about the actual line, but sometimes perception is reality. Glad you enjoyed. X

Oh what a delectable haiku - I love the second line! How clever of you to use "play it again, Sam" too, but are there problems with that if/when you were to publish this little gem? In any event, I enjoyed it immensely.

Thanks so much, Dawn. Actually the line 'play it again,Sam' never appeared in the film. Rick said, play it, Sam ...you know the one.' X

Very good with this one. A great write and a wonderful review of the movie. I sometimes wonder if this isn't a great hype to say ... play it again Sam.

I love this entry for the movie review contest. I'd watch this movie again and again and again! It's great how so few words can paint a picture and bring back memories. Good luck, Marcia

Great movie review haiku for the contest. This movie I've heard about and probably even have seen back in the day. The artwork is wonderful too. Kat
