Now, why didn't I think of this!!! LOL! I see every damn politician in Indiana, and this country in this one!! MOST appropriate too!! Especially, well. John Edwards. But they're all alike. Just some get caught! This is great Shari! I'll try to read more asap!! Love you!! Susan

Thanks, Susan for the lovely sixer. Yes, I meant it to fit all politicians. Glad you finally found time to review. How is the reality company doing?

As soon as I looked at the picture I was grossed out. Way too many rats for me. I did really like the tea analogy and the gutter mutter phrase. Now, can we get out of the gutter and leave these rats alone?

Absolutely! Rats are not only creepy but they love to gnaw at flesh according to horror movies. Oh, but didn't they eat the ropes in The Pit and the Pendulum and help to free the prisoner? I'll have to find my copy and find something useful about these creatures.

So many plays on words here - sewer party - drinking vile tea and gutter mutter -- great metaphor. Love the idea of rats at a political rally - sometimes I think that is what they are. Very well written. Made me laugh. Thanks for sharing.

So that's what goes on at a politcal rally!
I didn't know that...

Well-written Naani poem. Love all of the dirty words you use here, Spitfire.

Good syllable count and lovely accompanying picture!

Well, I gotta wonder about a guy who thinks rats are lovely-- as in the picture. LOL.

This naani is great unto itself in terms of language choice and humor about rats having a party when most people are horrified by rats. But the unsaid layers underneath---the metaphor for politicians is priceless. Love the "gutter mutter"! Nice alliteration of "a" and strong active verbs keep the poem lively. The artwork is perfect for the poem.

Thanks, J.P. There's certainly a lot of garbage floating around.

I really, really loved this one. It says so much more than it SAYS. Great job. The only thing I see is that there is extra verbage on the page beneath your author notes.

Thanks for catching the problem in author's notes. My PC has been giving me problems all night.
Thanks ever so much for the six. What a nice Mother's Day gift.

Okay, which rats in which party would be drinking vile tea and gutter muttering(love this for trash talk)

Long tailed(or long taled -- nice play on words there)
race toward sewer party(stll working on that except that they have some pretty sewer like tunnel in DC that the congress men use to get to and from their offices to the floor chambers)
Your sixes are still in captivity in the FS dungeon. I wish I could take bust them out. Poop ... rat poop.

Clever naani and not even a contest in sight. Damn what a waste. I bet you'll get come comments on this one!

Thanks, Ellen. I'll take a virtual six anytime. I never win those damn contests anyway. They aren't advertised to fans so it's luck.

Hi Shari,
I liked the image of ratssipping disgusting tea (I like coffee myself). Nice allegory of rats at a tea party in the sewer. Hmmmmm....

Thanks, Ted. Another poem composed as I walked our streets lined with openings that lead to underground sewer. Got to thinking about what might be down there.
