What a beautiful testament to undying love. Such prevailing tenderness is heartwarming. Raising children in a loveing home that is filled with love strengthened by time is an amazing feat. Excellent sonnet, expertly executed. Best of luck in the contest. Blessings to you, Linda

Oh the tender young love ... the changing love of family ... and then the deeper contented love.
I love how you showed the ever-changing - but everlasting true love.
This is beautiful. I really enjoyed it. You could be writing of me and my husband in every line (other than the 'many' children LOL - we have two).
This poem touched me very deeply. I think I'm gonna go hug my hubby now. LOL
Thanks for sharing this lovely sonnet.
I love the title as well. ;)
(Wow - I used the word 'love' a lot in this review) haha

My wife and I went through a similar series of phases: Whole house sex, bedroom sex, and hallway sex.
At fist it was the kitchen table, bathroom floor, everywhere. Then it was in the bedroom only. Now we pass each other in the hallway and say, "Fuck you!"
Great poem. You are a very good poet.

Ah! The sweet sounds of marriage. And those "3 words" - "oh, fuck off!" - LOL!!! Well, at least you had a romping good time earlier in the bit! Hell, the whole house!! My hubby and I still did it in the car! HA!!!! I love it when you call me a poet! Sounds foreign since I only just started to write in November. But, I guess since that's all I do now is write, maybe I AM A POET! HA! Thanks for all your kind words and your great review. :-)) Sue

Ahh lovely, not so many around who can hold onto the flame of love through it all. That's a beautiful piece. Should do well in the contest. Good luck with it.

Great ta see ya enterin, Sue.
This is wonderful, with every requirement spot on, IMHO.
Only nit would be repeat of 'I love you' in;
'A kiss good night--I love you, we declared' maybe ? -
'A kiss goodnight our tenderness declared'
Lovely declaration in poetic and non-mushy style.
Good luck n best wishes, ray xx

I pondered and pondered and knew you were right. I changed it as you suggested. Much better!! Thanks so much, Ray

This is a beautiful tribute to true love that endures the years and burns bright still. It is a gift I can see you haven't taken for granted. I wish you the best of luck in this contest. :)

A writing as warm and cozy as
the gentle flame of the candle
of love that glows delicately,
with an unwavering flame of
passion, tenderness, lovers
who became friends and walk
together down the paths of
where destiny has taken them.
An artistically and well crafted
writing from start to finish.
Well done
