Poor Dan, you hardly took the time to shed even half a tear. I guess I'm just old, because I don't understand how Andy got in touch with Jim.
This is an excellent, well-written chapter. No spag, but I have one suggestion:
"Because I only have just so much memory and I don't need the net right now!" Hey! An exclamation point! Actually, I think this sentence would look better as, "Because I have only so much memory and I don't need the net right now!"

I know what you mean. These 'puters! Okay, Andy sent Jim a text message on his cell telling him to contact him by computer. They were sending instant messages back and forth. I've only really done IM's like twice in my life. Unlike an email, they're interactive and you can talk back and forth.
I know, exclamation points all over! LOL! Sometimes there's no around them. And yes, I'll get that just out of there.

Another excellent chapter. Andy did with his couputer what I expected him to do when I thought he had a blackberry, although it looks like Cricket has a bead on him already. Having the layout, location and number of captors will certainly be helpful though. Very well done.
