The mystery is getting deeper and deeper, and the answers are far-r-r-r between. You are keeping this very interesting, and leaving enough hooks to keep us coming back.
Thanks for sharing.

Holy mackerel, what a chapter, Gayle! That little discovery should at least keep them on the right track that Tom wasn't part of the Russian team. Too bad the realty company didn't keep a photocopy of the check. Terrific developments. I wish I could give you another six star rating.

Not a nit in sight.

Hugs,
Renie

    Hey Renie,

LOL! It's so funny you should mention that. Of course, I couldn't do that, or have them meet at the office because I don't want anyone to know what the Ruskies look like! Almost caught myself...they picked it up via courier!

I thank you so much for the fine comments and your friendship. It means so much to me.

    Hugs

hmm - the stalker (Tom) was fixated on women who looked like Candace - apparently the Russians noticed him and took him out so that they could kidnap her to get the formula - two unrelated events - great mystery story - respectfully ^v^

    Hey Drac,

Yeah, Tom stalked Candace because she reminded him of his mother. When he snuck onto the property behind the horsetrailer, the Ruskies saw him. They didn't know what he was up do, but they took him out to make sure he didn't get in their way.

I usually have three stories going on in my novels. We've tied up one and we'll soon meet another.

Thanks for the great review and your support,

Gayle,

It looks like Tom Harris is going to lead the cops on a wild goose chase, even after he is dead. I enjoyed this chapter. I found no common things to comment about, but spotted several unusual matters.

"...wondering how she managed to string that many words together without using like." I think the word "like" should be in quotes here.

"Sergie Walacovich." This name would more likely be transliterated as "Sergei."

"Reiki Davidovichski" I don't know for sure, but I think this last name would identify him as Jewish. This may or may not be important to your story. Russians are named after New Testament people or Orthodox saints. Only the Jews and Protestant Germans make use of Old Testament names.

    Hi Dave,

You know me and Evil Eddie...in the ms, like is in italics! Now, on the Jewish thing, Davidovichski is Jewish? I can sure change either one. Just pulled them out of the phone book! LOL!

Thanks for the great review, my friend,

Killed his mother when he was 15 and Candace either looks just like his dear ole mom, is his long lost sister, or is an old flame who left him high and dry. Guess he won't have to worry about any of that any more, eh? He should have taken a hint from the dog and realized he wasn't welcome there.

    LOL! Jan,

Yeah, but he wanted to get to Candace, bad. I figure his mother left him and he killed her because of it. We'll get into that backstory, prolly kinda sad, y'know?

Gosh, this sure is fun! I'm so glad you're enjoying this story. Thanks for all your support and kind comments.

I liked the beginning of the chapter where the detective thinks, how she managed to string that many words together without using like. The detectives are soon going to find, the Stalker and the Russians are not connected at all. Sounds like Tom should have been locked away in an institution.

    Metcha Ladies!

Always so cool to see you! How're my sisters from down under?

Thanks for the great comments. Yep, Tom spent a lot of years in a mental facility. He shoulda stayed there!

    Love you both,

The descriptions were very good. One thing that bothered me was that this office was supposed to be very artsy gallery type so the plush carpeting thing seemed out of place. Other than that I thought is was very good, Wish I could Read the rest.

Nice continuation from the last chapter. Then the final information foreshadows very well for the next one. You're excellent with dialogue, It's so lively that I lost track of time and forgot to look for SPAG. Great job. I usually have suggestions but can;t come up with any for this.

Very well written with good dialogue and an easy read. Good imagery and descriptive scheme. I have never seen "roller" used in this manner.
She roller (rolled) her eyes at him as light, musical notes rippled up her throat. "Like, yeah, sure."

Ah, Charlie, my eagle eyed friend. I went in and got that changed to rolled. Man, I suffer from 'fast fingers' sometimes!

Another excellent chapter. So Tom actually a certifiable nut case. I wonder about the pictures of the other women, I wonder if any of them are missing or reported a stalker. From the description of the realtor, the two purchasers certainly fit the profile of R/I maffia enforcers. Very well done.

    Hey Frank,

Yes, we're going into a bit of the backstory of Tom, give everyone the willies! LOL!

I love to have your comments on things, as you know, and I'm pleased you like the way the Ruskies 'look'. Thanks so much for all your help and fine comments along the road.
