This is a very interesting story with the emotions given lives of their own. Exhilarating explains their mission and her hope that she and her friends, joy, Serenity, and even Laughter will return soon or, at least, someday. That is really a comforting attitude.

I hope a late thank you is worth as much as one on time... I always appreciate your time and your thoughts concerning my posts. I just can't seem to keep up.

Carol, you do well with a whole range of creative writing, and I am sure this series will be just as successful. We all experience a range of emotions and hence your stories will resonate with all of us as we read, and identify, and perhaps learn to better manage our emotions. Very well written, I enjoyed the personification of all these emotions and experiences.

Oh dear - I wouldn't want those guests in my house! Lol. Your story reminds me of the premise of the Inside Out movies. (Our granddaughters insisted on seeing the #2 which wasn't that great) which personify all the emotions to help us deal with them and even appreciate the negative emotions.

It's a little sad, Carol, but this seems fitting on a day like today. It's felt sad here at FanStory today, and I'm hoping Laughter shows his face again and brings a little of himself for us all to share.

An interesting concept and an interesting first chapter. You are right, we shall see where this goes:-)

I guess my emotions were battling with each other this morning as I contemplated how many dear friends we are losing and how it will feel when they aren't there to read what I right? I love to write but I also find great enjoyment in knowing others love what I write. Somewhere in all that thinking...this odd thought of writing about emotions exploded in my head..... So, yes, I guess we shall see where it goes.
    Thanks so much, Pam....

A good description of how depression feels when it shows up and how most times it gradually improves and things start to look brighter. Thanks for sharing

I have no idea where these stories are going but my emotions were shooting in every direction this morning, especially learning Sandra was taking another break. Thus, this wierd story exploded. Now we see where it goes.

By the time we reach old age our personality is set in stone and we are either optimistic or pessimistic and stubbornly we never change. Over time with events in life we can choose to be positive or negative, the choice is always ours, a poignant post Carol, (I could never drink luke warm tea!). Love Dolly x x x

Decidedly odd. I like that. You write well. I would like to see the conversation with horny, I bet that would be fun.

" What is all the movement down there?" "I can kind of remember a bit." Karen

I agree...I thought so myself. Somehow my brain thought of emotions and how they conflict with each other and after a few trials and errors, this is what I got.

Thanks, Barbara. I'm not sure where this idea even came from...I just started thinking about how our emotions battle each other and after a few trial and error attempts...this is what I got. We shall see how it goes. Thanks for reading.
