This is a beautiful poem which seems to offer the rhythm and purpose of 1 Corithians 13:1-3. I have not yet developed the skills of a poet, but this seems to me to be a veery good poem for speaking to God.

So amazing of a question, but then again, not really because we already know the answer don't we.... Jesus. He sent his son so that we may live...... there was no qualifier up front, simply that we acknowledge the unfathomable act. A great write that puts the questions where they should be: on us! ;) Thanx for sharing, Sir Roy! ;) Yvette

This was an absolutely beautiful poem on God's unconditional love. God has been so good to us and I was among the most unloveable of men. I'm so happy God saw my heart and shaped it into the kind that will please Him.

Beautiful writing and a great message here.
The irony is we have all been chosen by God. It is we who reject him.
Nevertheless, He still pursues us, as wretched and unworthy as we are.
Congratulations on your work! Thanks for sharing. Another one for my bookcase.

You're 100% correct. That's the type of love Jesus had for ALL of us when He died for us. It's also the love He wants us to show others. I'm betting we all fall very short. Thank you for sharing this reminder.

Unconditional love is hard to define and even harder to find in today's world. Choices are based now on appearances. Neither would God nor Christ judge with eyes. They read hearts.

That was nice to read, Roy. This poem is, unfortunately, what so many people can't understand. There are no bounderies on God's love, He created us, how could he not love us? Yet some people don't thing others are worthy. Most times those people should look and listen to themselves and pick up the Bible. I'm glad to see you back, my friend. Happy New Year. Love and hugs, Sandra xx

Roy, I certainly feel this is an excellent and pious poem treatise on almost
the unabridged version of God-Like "unconditional love" points. Between
your riveting poetry verbiage and the biblical references, your eclectic list
of maladies followed by repeated question (could you love me?), is a truly powerful challenge...IMHO, this is the best New Years post to date for 2025. teafor2

Roy,
This is a great poem. I don't think there's a person who could love unconditionally as God does. He sacrificed his own son for our sins.
Great job.

I don't know if it's because of my "shaky emotions" at the moment, but this is one of your best poems, Roy. We all would like to think that we aren't prejudice or biased about others and their beliefs, looks, religions, life.... but the truth is no matter how much we say or try to be the Lord's image...we aren't. There is no way we can give the unconditional love he has for everyone. WE can certainly try, but we aren't Him because there is but One.
