I love the title of this poem, and may I say I am so sad for you. Losing a friend like Angel is never easy. You have some great memories so hold them close. Take care and remember to smile with the good memories.

I'm so sorry Cecilia, the problem is not knowing what happened to her, we've owned many cats and dogs, the only ones that we've lost have been a few cats, but they returned after a couple of days, I have prayed for her, your angel, bless you dear girl, Roy

Roy,
Thank you for the kind words and prayers. The vet seems to think it was a heart attack. Roy, it was so fast. I noticed Thursday evening that her breathing was a little labored. Saturday I took her in and they kept her overnight. Her breathing was getting worse, so he was going to keep her overnight again. I was getting ready to go see her and the phone rang not even ten minutes later and she was gone. I am absolutely devastated.

I can understand, you may nor want to, but perhaps adopt an orphan Cecilia, bless you, Roy
-
Roy,
Children are not my thing and I will never own another dog.
-
We've not loved them less because we've had other cats and dogs, they have been a part of our family while they lived, they all have a special place in our hearts, but we move on, otherwise we are trapped in our past, which can never be retrieved or accounted for, just think of the orphan dogs and cats who will be put down Cecilia, bless you, I mean well.
-
Roy,
I know you mean well and I know there are a lot of animals put down everyday. Right now I'm just not ready to even look at that. The other thing is Kratos the Pit Bull doesn't like competition. Kratos was raised by the Pugs. Angel was always his nemesis. Now that she is gone he's started in on Sasha. He's a sweet dog, but very jealous. For now we will leave things as they are. I appreciate you and your encouragement.

Your poem is so heartfelt and emotional, it is bringing tears to my eyes. I grew up with many dogs. They are members of the family who bring nothing but joy and comfort. I am deeply sorry for your loss. Angel is now with the other angels.

Carol,
Thank you so much my friend for the love and hugs. I am absolutely heart broken. It's weird not having my tail around me. She was so sick and it happened in under 3 days. Thursday night her breathing became labored and Friday it just got worse. I took her to the vet on Sature day and they kept her overnight. He was going to keep her overnight on Saturday. He called me and updated me and said I could hang out with her. I was getting ready to go see her and he called back)it wasn't even 10 minutes and I knew before I answered it. He told me he had checked on her about 5 minutes before and when he went back in she was gone. He tried ro revive her, but her little ticker wasn't having in, She basically had a heart attack. I knew it would hurt when ai lost her, but I am absolutely devastated. I have been wrapped in your blanket. I miss my little tail following me all over. She was absolutely the best dog ever.

I'm so sorry, Cecilia, to hear about the loss of Angel (presumably in your profile pic). She sounds as though she was a true companion you adored and it's always so hard to part after so many years, especially at Christmas. Your acrostic verse vividly portrays the relationship you shared and the way you now find comfort in the image of her crossing the Rainbow Bridge. I sincerely hope that's the case and you can be left with many happy memories to compensate. I particularly warmed to her "wiggly butt" and "happy barks."
There are some edits: sep(a)rate; We can (now) play; My heart is in (pieces)
Bless you, Cecilia, for sharing your lovely tribute to a dear and loyal friend! Warm wishes, Debbie

Debbie,
Thank you for the wonderful review. She was my heart. The picture is of Kratos. Angel was a Jack Russel/Pug mix. She was the best.

This is a very well-crafted Acrostic poem. The reader can really see that someone loved their dog, not as a pet, but as a good friend or loved one. I can tell this post will go over well with all the dog lovers out there.
