An enjoyable read. My son is an IT expert, and when I need things done he sets it all up, and explains it all to me using so many acronyms it is like a foreign language. Therefore I don't use most of the features he has so laboriously and lovingly set up for me. In the old days there was just a knob to press for on and off, and to rotate for channels. Easy peasy. Lol. Well written. A great story.

You narrated the story very well. Steven could probably have helped you had the remote and the electronics been in his hand. The problem is trying to do it over FaceTime or some other protocol can be very difficult. I spent over 40 years in the technology sector, But it was all related to industrial or military. As of today, I have no interest in technology. I use a desktop computer and have a cell phone and half the time wish I had neither.

Thank you for the understanding. I prefer my desktop, but do have a laptop I take on vacations with us and use it for my Hallmark. LOL

You're welcome.

This is interesting because my husband and I have the same kind of problems after pushing the wrong buttons on the tv or computer. Fortunately, we have a 32-year-old granddaughter still living with us, so she fixes things. I suspect our older generation would not succeed with modern technology if we didn't have the younger ones. I put the first chapter of my new book up wrong, but I am not certain I understand what Tom, or whomever, told me I have to do to fix it.

Thanks for the rundown on your youngest. Sounds good, all he does. No romance for him, still? I wish we could get Hallmark Channel, here. We don't do "Pay TV."
For a long time I had issues with Hallmark video sound and subtitles. They have improved that, now.

I loved your biographical story. I've been caught up in that Source plight too. Your dialogues are adorable and descriptions excellent. You are blessed to have a beautiful family. Thank you for sharing this. I have one daughter but was still able to make connections. Also I'm the youngest of 5 and there are 16 years between oldest and youngest so I understood that.
Have a good night!

We have four TV's throughout our home. I can only turn one on... Smart TV isn't for this dunce!
Isn't it amazing how a cable bill can be $250 per month, just to watch TV.. incredible.
Good post, one I was able to say, "yup, been there done that".

Ah yes, technology. I have to get my grandkids to turn on movies for me. Right now I am stumped about printing off my fan story stories. When I am trying to write something the AI "helper" keeps messing with me offering non-useful suggestions I don't want. Esther

Good story, It sound like something I would do. I had to figure that out for myself when I messed up the source. I pushed a lot of buttons. I'm not paying for TV anymore either. But I watch Amazon prime on the computer and could stream in on my TV if I could figure out how. I had my last kid at thirty-five. I'm close to three of mine and they all four live in the area. The other girl, Christi would like to be close but she starts a argument every time we get together.

Even though the other boys and their families live quite a distance away we stay in touch, at least once a week usually more often. Thank you for understanding.

Aww Steven sounds great and your close relationship shines through here. I love the repetition of 'Mother.' The problem with these younger generations is that they grow up with technology and I think they rather like to keep it all to themselves like some secret code. Whenever I ask my 42 year old son for help he takes over the computer pressing everything in sight as quickly as possible and blocking me from seeing what he's doing. So I never learn. My daughter, on the other hand, is the complete opposite and explains and even writes down instructions. You're missing a word in your notes: close to the Gulf of ? Thanks for sharing, Barbara. This made me smile. Debbie

I will make that correction. I have to call Steven with the password for our Internet, which I don't need the password very often. He always says, "Mother, you need to learn your password. Why don't you know it?" He's the one who set it up. LOL I appreciate your understanding.

I enjoyed reading this! It made me think of our twin sons. I can't do anything right to them, especially with my computer. When I mess up, I have the same ordeal with Timothy, our two-minute older twin. lol I told them one day they would be older and not be so swift. Just because I have MS does not make me dumb, but sometimes I think that is the way they look at it! lol love and blessings, Teri

I do understand, but Steven just called me about 5 minutes ago asking for advice. His car was hit in parking lot where he looks while he was at work. The other person did leave their contact number.
