Thank you for sharing this Halloween poetry contest entry. In the past few years, the number of our trick or treaters have gone way down. Not sure why. I enjoyed reading and wish you luck with the contest.

Aah. I found the answer to your dilemma and moved to the country being gifted sixty-seven acres which I named Nevertheless Acres in remembrance of the Savior (Luke 22:42 - Nevertheless, not my will, but yours, be done.) We have had only one trick and treater in seven years.

You took your Halloween poem to another level of "scare" with all the little monsters dressed as "Trump"... I wouldn't open my door either. Good one, Karen.

    Yes, kids get too much reality too soon. Most costumes are of real people instead of fantasy and dreams. Poor babies. Thanks for the read. Karen

LOL--that would be a scary situation, Karen. This is a great entry for the Halloween Poetry competition. I love the picture--I'd think twice before asking for treats at that door--so the presentation looks very nice. Great rhyme!

LOL This is funny Halloween poem. I think I'd be freaking out to if most of the kids coming to my door were wearing Trump masks. This was a clever idea for Halloween poem.

    We made up monsters and fantasy creatures for Halloween. These days they dress up as a celebrity, They are not given time in school to create. They must always be producing work product. Poor sweeties. Karen

Well that would be a scary sight, hundreds of tiny Trumps knockin' on your door.
Nice work. I'll bet that this one tickled you as you wrote it. I just hope people understand how much worse Vance would be.
