I am intrigued by this excellent free verse! Its presentation is fascinating as well...
Such a radical turn is your philosophy of love, but it rang so true to me. As you say the sea wall is love as is your trusty sword upon which you fall, made me want to cry. From where that cry welled up in me, I have no idea but it came from deep within me from a part of me that I cannot explain or fully understand. But love is fierce... perhaps the fiercest emotion of all. It's not usually spoken of in this way.... It is usually described in more placid terms of being kind, nurturing and mild. But your strange and beautiful words touched me deeply. The idea here is that love IS fierce, it can move mountains, or make mountains for that matter! It can hold back an ocean ...

Love is the hill on which I die
Love is the storm
And the storm am I
Ahh, such a strong comforting message I find to be true, thank goodness. A powerful gem of a poem!

This is a wonderful entry for the What is Love? writing prompt competition. It has a great image to illustrate the strength and protection of the love you describe. I like the construct and presentation~the only suggestion is to use a darker color font on the red background to make it easier to see. Well done!

It's a delicious way to look and compare love to a storm...It does feel that way at times, but it is also the lighthouse..leading us to safely and home. Great job! Now you should get some sleep! LOL
