Hi Tom,
well, I've never tried skunk or possum, and I suppose at this late stage of my life, I never will, in part because neither one live here, fortunately. I have read some posts that leave one wishing they'd been left un-read, but we don't know until we read them. None of us are born learning to write, it's an ongoing learning experience, and some are better than others, but at least FS gives folks a change to try their hands at it.
Have a blessed day.

I wrote this tongue in cheek and it is not meant to criticize other writers, in fact, it could be perceived with the unknown author being moi
Thanks

I like whatever corner of your mind this offering came from. I think you MAY be implying that some of us writers aren't the hot stuff we think we are!
I only have one objection to your theory here:
skunk tastes different than possum, and neither have the flavor of chicken.
Now everybody who's anybody KNOWS, if it ain't beef or pork...then of course it takes like chicken. :-)
If your interested in some grammar corrections:
an author's composition drab and dreary *leave* bookworms repulsively *revolting* as if the offering of either aspirant...
Should be:
an author's composition, drab and dreary, leaves bookworms repulsively revolted, as if the offering of either aspirant...
A fun flash fiction.
