This chapter brought tears to my eyes... we depend on these brave drivers to get the stuff we want to buy into our stores...YES! They are brave for even being on the road. Your story has made me appreciate them more. He didn't want to loose his license...he lied by not telling ALL. I felt this so much as the policeman walked away. GREAT Writing!

As I read, I felt like a long-distance trucker caught up in adventures on the road with crazy drivers in big rigs. I had trouble understanding a couple of sentences. "Unnecessarily lording it in the passing lane was infrequent." (Is lording a trucker phrase?) and " He hoped that along with the absence of my sunglasses would be enough."?????? I did like your names for the big rigs. It added color to the story. No pun intended, Big Chartreuse. The encounter with the trooper adds tension to the story, and I await the consequences in the next chapter. Gayla

Thank you. I'll try to fix the text.
"Unnecessarily lording it in the passing lane was infrequent." By 'lording it', I mean to dominate, or commandeer, the passing lane.
Thank you for your help.

I love the adventures of Clyde who sounds like he's become something of a vigilante trying to police the highways and byways, to bring truck drivers to halt in their adventures, well done Wayne, blessings Roy

Thank you. He's doing what he can, hoping to avenge his wife's death at the hand of a trucker.
