This story, Met on a Western Hillside, certainly takes an odd route to get Dr. Ferguson blown away by someone who was still in 1873. In wonder where this leaves Abe Wunderly.

Maybe a need for a sequel? "The Good, The Bad, And The Spooky"?
Comment from Begin Again
I guess that would be a good adage to remember since they seem to live by different rules. Nicely presented and enjoyable to read. Good luck in the contest.

Thank you very much.

a short but interesting story. I like the idea of time travel in the dreamscape. The line I enjoyed the most was: "What I'm trying to say is this woman, she's been seeing you in her dreams. So, I went into her subconscious-that is, her mind, and saw you, so I called you here- You're in the future!" well done.

Many thanks. I love exalting God or writing on the human condition, but sometimes I just have some fun!

I loved the image - Eastwood is the best. This was a very creative use of dreams, ghosts and reality. There was not a lot of space to blend two worlds so, for me, the story was a little abstract. I wasn't real clear on why the guy was a doctor and a ghost whisper or who the guy was that shot him. It definitely shows a lot of promise and seriously unique creativity.

I had just finished a longer story, so I tried to keep this as short as possible.
