Diantha is definitely growing in confidence already and I could see quite an attitude developing, although hardly surprising given all she's been through. Now we understand where Phoebus/Atrius the centaur comes in. I was a little confused last week about the bullying stranger who was clearly all-man (so to speak). So your lovely story is gathering pace (in more ways than one) and Diantha, whether she likes it or not, will not be going home as they now have to flee from the Caracki! I can see the beginning of a love affair here (I'm so perceptive:)) This has all the elements of another great fantasy treat, Rhonda! Well done! Debbie

Behind the man (crounched) the beginnings of the mountain.... (I'm not sure of the meaning in this sentence)
After all (2 words)
soften(e)d
Atrius (made and) held eye contact (I think the 'made and' are redundant, sounding a wee bit awkward)
Figurative wolves can be quite fright(e)ning

    Hi Debbie,
Thank you so much for your six star reviews and discussion. Thank you, also, for finding the spag. So much this time!! I don't know where my head was, lol. Still, it was so helpful.
Yes, you are perceptive, but love will not have all the chance they will hope for. There are quite a few obstacles to overcome first, lol.

Also, the man chasing her will be explained as well. Remember the Specters from the last book?

Also, I think Diantha is going to prefer where she's staying to where she came from, though that place will re-emerge later.

    Thanks again,
    Rhonda

I hope you know how much I am enjoying this story. It pains me to have to point out a slight mistake that does not hurt the story in any way. I copied the line it is: "No, it's not," Dianthus replied in surprise. "
Again, it does not hurt the story for me in any way. I only point it out as I wory that some other reviewer may not be kind or forgiving. Please continue with this awesome series of adventures. I love it. I really love it.

    Hi Nolan,
Thank you so much for your review!! I appreciate you taking the time and effort. It never hurts my feelings for someone to find my mistakes. It's how we help each other!! I always miss things, no matter how hard I try not to.

    Hugs,

You are not alone. For instance, I misspelled the word worry. It happens to us all. You just keep on writing these fantastic episodes and I will keep right on reading, enjoying, and reviewing them.

That was a terrific end to your chapter, Rhonda. I get the feeling that Diantha is going to really struggle to trust anyone now, although I could feel a spark of chemistry between her and Atrius, I hope he is a friend and that her instincts that he is are correct. Another excellent chapter, I really enjoyed reading it.

Okay, now I see where this is going, remembering from your first post. I can't wait to read more.

He was smiling broadly like he was trying to prove he wasn't lying. (passive you can make it active, ' He smiled broadly, trying to prove he wasn't lying.')

"My friend Cassie and I were out for a ride when we were attacked by a really large man (friend,)

    Hi Barbara,
Thank you so very much for the six star review, my friend!! I'm glad you figured out the direction I'm heading. It's kind of hard to do when we space out our chapters, but it's a lot of work, for sure.

    Hugs,
    Rhonda

Another fine chapter, Rhonda------Will Diatha's new horse torso friend turn out to be a lucky horshoe or the cloven hoof of an evil pack animal? Tune in next chapter for the answer to this and many other burning questions!

Oh, this is SO romantic and thrilling. They meet and he takes her for a ride. I thought Atrius was Phoebus in another form. Their hearts are definitely made for each other. Real love grows in time. Beautifully done and illustrated, my talented friend. A treat for my Sunday read.

Sending you my best today as always, Rhonda dear, and Love & Blessings abundant.

Hi Sally, you romantic, you! Atrius and Phoebus are one and the same, lol, but they won't know that for quite some time!! And, they have the whole, he's a Centaur, thing going.

    Much love,
    Rhonda

Yes, I figured it out because I follow this book closely. We have a ways to get from her to the future but I'm sure I will enjoy every chapter.
    Lotsa love across the bridge.

Oh, Rhonda, you've scooped me right up, and I'm clutching to every word as the story unfolds. Can you believe that I'm falling head over heels in love with fantasy? The story is magical yet inspiring and filled with mystery--all the good stuff rolled into one. Lead on, my friend. I am eager to follow.
Smiles and hugs, Carol

Awwww, thank you for the sixes and for the comments. I know you're falling in love with fantasy, because you have ghosts for characters. As they aren't horrifying, it can't be horror, thus, they are fantasy, lol.
    Thanks for the compliment, though!!

    Hugs,
    Rhonda
