Oh no! "Warts and Peas"? ~Groan~
It's always good to see John and Shorty back but Shorty really should listen to John. Oh, well, two bits doesn't sound too expensive but it's probably worth more back then.

Thank you so much for your personalized review. I guess 25 cents was worth about two to three hours' work for a cowboy on a ranch, depending on where he lived.

Wow, that's a lot of money then - like $50 today? At least, those days, Chargemoors could be recognized. Now we have them impersonating companies and sending us emails and calling us or even hacking our computers!

Love the humor in this. The name Charchmoore is so fitting. I wondered about why John kept referring to his horse Sterling. Then I decided it fit perfectly with his character. He was so proud of his horse. When I was a kid, we had a horse Betty who could be ground-tied. She was indeed well-trained by her previous owner. I like Shorty's willingness to try the "snake oil" medicine. Of course, he'll need to borrow the money from John. Great ending--"Warts and Peas." Shorty is so well-read! Sorry I am out of sixes. This is deserving. judi

Thank you so much for your detailed review. And I appreciate the virtual 6. I have never read "War and Peace" myself, not even the Cliff Notes (or SparkNotes, or whatever is more current).

Thanks so much for the compliment. The last two times I have gone to theatrical performances, I have been studying actors and wondering if any of them would like to try these scripts out.

You're welcome. Usually a theatre group has a play-reading committee. You might approach them. Also, the actors might enjoy doing the short ones as entertainment for banquets, etc. judi

Another excellent script written by you Crystie, I like this script about an encounter with a snake oil salesman, there are still some around now, promising the world and delivering nothing. Crooks have been around forever, I wonder what their end will be, beautifully written blessings Roy

Thank you so much for taking the time out of your busy day to read and review. Yes, we sure have some real snake oil salesmen (and women!) in different locations everywhere.
