This is so uniquely you. Reflective. Direct. Trying to work out what to do in these unusual circumstances, being welcomed, yet not fitting in. Expressing your thoughts and insights, and even worries, through writing, but a liitle troubled that you have that luxury while the Amish are so busy with their work. Reflecting therefore on one's purpose in life, and what makes life meaningful for different people. Reflecting on how best to make life work out well, for we all have our anxieties and stresses. I found it very thought-provoking.

I can see how writing would remind you of your real life and help you relax quite a bit. There is something about being an unexpected guest that makes it impossible to accept you are really welcomed.

I have a feeling if this were a true situation I would be very uncomfortable. Thank you so much. Your comments are very appreciated. Gretchen

Uh, I'm not real sure, but I don't think the Amish enjoy "Happy butt". (laughy face here) It would probably give them a mental image that would have them heading 'south' for eternity.
Great work - both of you.

I would have used another word but toned it down for the Amish. Lol. Thank you for this. Gretchen

Good introspective thoughts: to assimilate or remain your original self? Stress verses anxiety? Stress is what is from outside and anxiety comes from within. Hard to separate. You are very good at finding the moral dilemma. Esther

Yes, there are a couple of ladies at our church that have indulged in writing poetry over the years, but have never really done anything with it, except be closet poets, I would love to give an outlet and a relational corroboration fo them, and showing them the art of getting writing and self expression out of their inner self. Well done Gretchen, blessings Roy

For some people just the act of writing is enough. I just want to share mine with the world. Thank you for this nice review. Gretchen

As I continue to read the storyline with Rachelle and Gretchen it's fascinating more and more with each read. The entire storyline keeps me on my toes wondering were they will end up next. Excellent writing.

I'm enjoying this, This is the second of I"ve seen from you since I saw on form her so I might have missed at least one of hers. I'm dying to know what kind of trouble she got herself into and whether or not her cousin is going to come to your rescue.

Rachelle is taking the young Rebekah to New York for music. Helene is not happy. Her post is up now. Gretchen

I am writing this standing up, between shouts of "BRAVVVVVVOOOOO" and the loudest applause I can muster. This is absolutely perfect, this chapter. I could NOT love it more. Here are just SOME of my fave lines:

* Prison, if you will, except there is no one named Roxie trading me for a pack of cigarettes.

* Contrary to popular belief, the Amish do get pissed off. It ain't all corn cobs and smiles.

* New Yorkitude (New York attitude)

* I stop writing, pausing to look towards the direction of the house, hoping I don't see Rachelle with a hobo's bag at the end of a stick over her shoulder. (I laughed right out loud at that one!)

You've done SUCH a magnificent job here. Classic GW Hargis gold in these here hills!!

Since your chapter was very deep and emotional, I went the opposite. I wanted my alter ego to be wondering about your talk but not really assuming how it was going. Then I thought it would be perfect to reflect on things through writing it. Thank you so much for this awesome review. And the extra star. Gretchen

Are you kidding; you earned a thousand sixes from me today. I've loved all your chapters, but this one was second to none in the hilarity department. xoxo

Writing is my happy place too. I want to keep it like that. Thank you for sharing this addition with us. I enjoyed reading.

I check to make sure the pails are almost full and finally sit down. (You can omit 'down')
